CELTIC BOOKS & MEDIA

I published my first book, Our Stories & Our Songs: The Celtic Support, in August 2015. All proceeds from the book go to Jay Beatty's Down's & Proud charity.

Following the success of my debut project, I published a second Celtic book, Take Me To Your Paradise: A History Of Celtic Related Incidents & Events, in October 2019. It is a publication, which takes a look at the history of the club from a unique angle. The book focuses on a selection of individual incidents and organised events throughout each decade of Celtic's existence.

In 2020 I began writing articles for The Celtic Star Magazine. On their website, I post a mixture of breaking news articles and historical Celtic stories. You can find my posts at the following address:  https://thecelticstar.com/author/liam-kelly-1967/

Book previews can be found on the site. For summaries and to make purchases, please visit the Books tab.

A great strength of the support has been its communal voice. We are taken back to 'God Save Ireland', sung in unison by Celtic and Hibernian supporters in 1911, a song of resonance from the very early years of Celtic history, but it's not all heavy sentiment. Readers of a certain age will give a knowing smile when recalling 'Ten men won the league tra-la-la-la-la'.

For a young lad, Liam has an excellent grasp of the history.

Congratulations Liam. That is the most poignant account of the Brookeborough Raid and life of Sean South that I have ever read.                                Cathy Camplisson (Irish history enthusiast)

The author of this very book thought about writing it because he saw it as a vehicle to raise charitable funds. He's done that and the ball is rolling from there.
